Verizon Supporting Samsung

It seems like Samsung has a new BFF to help them out of the lawsuits they have been facing. Earlier today, Verizon announced that they are going to support Samsung in their war against Apple. They went as far as to request the court to deny a preliminary injunction against Samsung’s Infuse 4G, Galaxy S 4G, Droid Charge, and Galaxy Tab 10.1 devices.

According to Verizon:

…would hinder Verizon Wireless in developing and deploying its next generation high-speed LTE [fourth-generation] network, the job growth dependant on that network, and will undercut key public policy goals, including expansion of American’s [sic] access to broadband networks and faster communication with emergency personnel.

‘Clash Of The Titans’, Samsung Will Try To Ban iPhone 5

Battles are being fought and a war has started between Samsung and Apple. What started with a few allegations has now reached its breaking point and currently, 23 lawsuits are pending between the 2 companies.

Apple-vs-Samsung

According to Korea Times:

Just after the arrival of the iPhone 5 here, Samsung plans to take Apple to court here for its violation of Samsung’s wireless technology related patents,” said a senior executive from Samsung Electronics, asking not to be identified.
“For as long as Apple does not drop mobile telecommunications functions, it would be impossible for it to sell its i-branded products without using our patents. We will stick to a strong stance against Apple during the lingering legal fights.

Although, the iGadget is still a distant notion, Samsung is already planning to sue Apple for using their wireless technology in the next generation iPhone, the iPhone 5.

Apparently, if Apple wants to use mobile communications in their next phone, they’d have to use Samsung’s wireless technology and Samsung is ready to sue them for it. We haven’t received a word from either of the companies regarding the matter. But we have many questions in mind like, why didn’t Samsung use this ‘killer blow’ when they first went head-to-head with their rival? Why is Apple still ‘hush, hush’ about this issue?

Whatever the case might be, we highly doubt that Samsung is going to be able to ban the iPhone 5 release. We are still waiting for results from both the poles.

The Thinnest Smartphone In The World

People have been wondering which smartphone is the thinnest of them all since Samsung Galaxy S2 came into the limelight. But none have been able to answer it up till now. Some rule in the favor of iPhone 4 others, choose the GS2.

Galaxy-S2-vs-iPhone-4

Now that iPhone 5 release is eminent, Apple still had to steal away Samsung’s one last victory and keep it for themselves.

This is no longer a topic where people choose the smartphone that works the best, it is now also the battle of looks and features. There are hardly any smartphones available in the world that would come even slightly close to competing with iPhone 4 and GS2; the two beloved phones of the masses, at the moment.

Where the debate seemed to have lasted forever, UK’s Advertising Standards Authority chose to decide the matter once and for all.

According to them, the iPhone 4 measures at 9.3mm in depth no matter where you measure it from. While the GS2 measures at 8.71mm at its thinnest side and measures 9.91mm at its thickest point. Thus, Apple has won this battle too.
